Design

The JBL Tune Buds are an in-ear TWS with an oval-shaped case. The case has a very minimalist design with a top-mounted opening. The feel and shape of the case make it easier for the user to carry it in their pockets without feeling burdened. 

The case and the earbuds are made of polycarbonate material. On the front of the case are charging indicator LED lights. The design of the earbuds is tubular with oval tubes for a perfect and snug fit. 

The weight is 42g in the case and 5.4g in each earbud this will make the earbuds slightly heavy in weight. The JBL Tune Buds are rated IP54 for water and dust resistance, which means they are immune to minor splashes.

Sound

The JBL Tune Buds TWS come with a 10mm Dynamic. The earbuds provide an ample amount of hard bass that is signature to JBL. Along with bass, the TWS has surround sound so that you can enjoy rich and authentic music. 

The earbuds feature a quad-microphone setup that provides clearer music to the listener. These microphones are strategically arranged to get the perfect voice every time. 

We can conclude that the sound of the JBL Tune Buds TWS is very impressive and top-notch. There is a perfect balance between the fidelity, latency, and bass in the earbuds.

Features

The JBL Tune Buds TWS are supported with Google Fast Pair for fast pairing, SASS, and fast action. The earbuds have advanced Active noise cancellation technology that actively cancels out external noise to give you a truly immersive experience. 

The earbuds are customizable in terms of equaliser and sound properties with the help of JBL App Support. Switch into the preset modes such as heavy metal, jazz, bass boosted, etc. with just one tap and enjoy your favourite music. 

The JBL Tune Buds TWS has a dedicated low-latency mode for video surfing and gaming. The latency rate is not mentioned by the brand. The earbuds come with dedicated touch controls that toggle on and off this low latency mode along with other features such as answering or rejecting calls, playing the next or previous track, and playing or pausing music. 

Rest assured, all features will be mentioned on June 21st, at the time of the launch of the earbuds. 

Connectivity

The JBL Tune Buds TWS feature Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity for quick pairing and seamless transmission with a wide range of compatible devices. It has an operating range of up to 10 metres. 

It is compatible with Android and iOS devices, as well as Mac and Windows. User guides for various operating systems, such as Android and iOS, are included in the manual.  

Battery and Charging 

The JBL Tune Buds TWS come with a 750mAh-capacity lithium polymer battery in case and 70mah in each earbud. It provides a total uninterrupted playback time of 48 hours. The battery capacity is variable depending on the ANC mode activation status.

When the ANC mode is on, the total battery capacity of the earbuds is 10 hours (earbuds) plus 30 hours (case), providing a total backup of 40 hours. Without ANC mode, it increases up to 12 hours (earbuds) plus 36 hours (case), giving a total backup of 48 hours. 

The JBL Tune Buds TWS feature USB-C-based Speed Charge charging technology, with which 15 minutes of charging provides up to 4 hours of audio playback. Total charging time is 120min.
